Tatum Golf Links Lawsuit Moves Forward

1 min read

Core Live Local question remains undecided—and key plaintiff assertions continue unchallenged.

The Golf Link's owners central claims against Sarasota County will continue, but the court has not decided whether RE-1 property qualifies under the Live Local Act.

Importantly: two consequential assertions about the golf land remain unchallenged.  stayTRU has uncovered significant evidence that contradicts both. Allowing those assertions to go forward without correction could make protecting homeowners' legal interests substantially harder—and more expensive—later.

At the heart of the case is whether the 206-acre Tatum Ridge golf-course property qualifies for development under Florida's Live Local Act. The golf land owner's have proposed 2,250 apartments on the site.
