stayTRU endorses the re-election of Mark Smith for County Commission

Those of us who live in District 1near Tatum Ridge cannot vote for Mark Smith (District 2). But we can support him. While our non-profit status precludes monetary donations to political candidates, stayTRU leadership has contributed personally to Commissioner Smith's re-election efforts.

Mark voted for us when he helped deny development of the golf land. And, again, when he voted against Live Local projects on residential land. He supported us. Mark has done what was right for the citizens - not developers - of Tatum Ridge.

It's now time to support those who support us.

If Mark is defeated, the Board majority we've needed could be in jeopardy

Keeping brave and bold representatives in office is the best way to protect the Open Space of Tatum Ridge and the County of Sarasota.

Sorry, ALL of our commissioners vote FOR unrestricted development of south county. All these splintered groups trying to save their neighborhood only will have no sucsess and not generate the comitment needed from those who are not in their affected areas. All groups need to coalesce into one large group with power. Do not forget the first rule of conquest, "devide and conquor".
